Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
For those that suffer, obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD) is no laughing matter. Many of these individuals have been through several therapists and psychiatrists only to end up with lost time and money. I am here to say that there is hope.
OCD is considered to be an anxiety disorder of sorts. Standard counseling has little effect as it only deals with the attacking the person's thought process when they are feeling calm. What the sufferer really needs is tools to combat the anxiety when the OCD is triggered.
There are 4 techniques, when used properly, can significantly decrease the OCD symptoms and anxiety.
1.. Neuro Emotional Technique - This is what defines and makes us unique from all the other therapists in our area. NET is a hybrid of Chinese medicine, chiropractic, and Jungian psychology placed to together to create the most dynamic and fastest way to reduce OCD symptoms. Many people feel better after 1 session, and some find full recovery after an hour of treatment.
2. EMDR - Works incredibly fast as long as the emotions can be brought to surface in the therapists office. If I can raise a person's anxiety and OCD triggers, this method is my preference. It is the fastest, but unfortunately, the hardest to undergo.
3. Hypnosis - NO, I will not make you bark like dog, but seriously, hypnosis helps the subconscious mind disarm triggers before they cause a disruption in a person's life. I use this method in most cases. Results usually after the first session, and permanent results are usually within 8 sessions.
4. Emotional Freedom Technique(EFT) - What I love about this technique is that I can teach anyone how to use it in about 10 minutes. If used frequently, results are quick. If anyone reading this is suffering now, GOOGLE it. It is that easy to learn. Downside to this technique is that it is not usually utilized enough by the person outside of the office to make effective changes. The person must be committed.
